On this page you will see a selection of photos from a Grade II listed building in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The window timber was in reasonable condition but did require attention to prevent further damage and decay. In this building design, typical of the period, timber windows are set back from the exterior wall and this design helps prevent rain water causing damage to the timber. On one window, old rippled glazing (not original) was replaced with thicker, frosted glazing on the lower panels. All timber was treated before painting.
